Floating – what is it?

Relaxation treatment is featured in soundproof, airtight, and thermos-isolating float cabine, that is filled with solution of water with Epsom salt. The solution has anti- inflammatory and antibacterial effect.

A patient during the treatment floats on the surface of warm solution and experiences the weightless state. The muscles lose their tension. Human organism produces a huge amount of serotonin, endorphin, prolactin, and enkephalins so-called happiness hormone; causes euphoria, reduces a headache, and removes the stress hormone. Thereafter, a production of The alfa waves and tuning the brain to theta waves. It is creating a state of piece, loosening, and relaxation. The pain, tiredness, and feeling depressed go away.

Process of the session

Floating applies in sport, rehabilitation, supports skin treatments, depression, and stress reduction.
  • Before the session:

    -come 10-15 minutes before a visit,
    -bring your flip-flops (a swimsuit is not required – the float cabine and room is only at your disposal),
    -after coming to this room, you have got 10 minutes to prepare yourself for the session (taking off your clothes and taking a shower),
    -wash your body and hair thoroughly and alternatively remove your make up,
    -use the restroom.

  • During the session:

    -carefully get in the float cabine and lie comfortably on your back,
    -locking the float cabine is recommended,
    -inside the float cabine is a light that you can turn off and on at any time,
    -remember that during the session you have to lie on your back. You cannot dive and you should not dip your whole face. If you feel the tension in your neck, you could use a floating pillow,
    -you can leave the float cabine at any time.

  • After the session:

    -after the session you have 15 minutes to preparing yourself to leave and exit the room,
    -get out carefully of the float cabine to avoid skidding,
    -take a shower to wash your body down thoroughly of a salt excess,
    -you can also dry the hair in the room

In addition:

-you are not supposed to drink coffee, energy drinks or eat substantial meal an hour and a half before the session,
-before the session you should not wax, shave your otherwise you may feel the burning sensation (because of the contact with the salt).

Floating - contraindication

A person cannot use the session that has:
  • epilepsy,
  • congenital pacemaker,
  • thrombosis,
  • malignant neoplasm of skin,,
  • untreated mental illness,
  • menstrual period,
  • otitis,
  • open wounds, damage, irritation, skin infections,
  • during the first trimester of pregnancy,
  • are under the influence of alcohol or other abusive substances.
